But there is 1 Tim 2:12ff where Paul takes it straight back to Eden.

And yet, even that is not as straightforward as most people think. The English flattens a lot of what's really going on.

That's perfectly fine.

As I said in the post, I don't insist that my view is correct. The Greek is ambiguous enough that either reading is defensible. The thing that sways me is the context.
