For two thousand years, Christians have argued about what Paul meant in 1 Cor 14:34. Today I want to look at one Greek word from it: σιγάω, sigaō, which is translated “keep silence.”

But there is 1 Tim 2:12ff where Paul takes it straight back to Eden.
And yet, even that is not as straightforward as most people think. The English flattens a lot of what's really going on.
